Hapoel Tel Aviv beat Omonia Nicosia 3-1 in their first friendly match of the off-season. Two of Hapoel's goals came from Israeli midfielder Ramzi Safouri and the third came from Striker Omer Fadida.

Beitar Jerusalem have come to an agreement with central midfielder Dario Fernandez to keep him at the club for at least one more season. The 34 year old Argentine decided to stay despite the fact that in the first training session of the season, Beitar fans cursed and spat at him.
Bnei Yehuda have signed Argentine left-back Emiliano Fusco from Cyprio First Division side Alki Larnaca. The 27 year old who captained Larnaca last year, signed for his new team on a 1 year deal. Bnei Yehuda also finished up a 3 year deal with 21 year old defender Ben Vehava.
Maccabi Tel Aviv's friendly match against German club Energie Cottbus which was scheduled for Saturday has been canceled due to police reports that anti-Semitic hooligans will turn up to the game if it is played.
The Israel National Team dropped two places in the updated FIFA world rankings to number 64. This is despite the fact that Israel's only game since the last Ranking's were released was a 2-0 win against Honduras around a month ago.

Newly promoted Ironi Ness Ziona have given Tal Dan a new contract. The 26 year old 196cm forward, who was the player of the season in the Liga HaLeumit (2nd Division) last season, has signed a deal that should keep him in Ness Ziona's roster for another 2 years.
Maccabi Tel Aviv were drawn into Group D in the Euroleague. Group D consists of 6 teams, they are: Panathinaikos Athens, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Laboral Kutxa Vitoria, Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar, Crvena Zvezda Telekom Belgrade and the team that wins the Euroleague Qualifiers. In order to reach the next round of the Euroleague, Maccabi will have to finish the group stage in the top 4 of the group.
