Meir Tapiro has decided that newly promoted side
Ironi Nes Tziona, will be his last stop before retirement. The 38-year-old who played last season at Hapoel Jerusalem agreed terms with Nes Tziona today and is expected to finalize the deal this afternoon or tomorrow. The agreed terms will see him stay at the club for 2 years. In signing for Nes Tziona Tapiro will be joining the 10th club of his career that started off in 1994 at Hapoel Tel Aviv. " It is a great honor for our humble club to receive a player such as Meir," said Nes Tziona's chairman
Yaniv Mizrachi, " Meir was the first player we wanted. Since we are a very young team in comparison to the other teams in the top flight, we wanted someone with a lot of experience and there was nobody better fitting that description than Meir who will help us to a lot of success in the top flight. Nadav Zilberstein added: " I am very happy about the adding of Meir to our roster. Their is no doubt that he will help us through his experience and knowledge of the game. The isgning of such a player will help the team and the fans to enjoy a good season of basketball in the top flight next season."
