Israel's national cadet team's star guard
Tamir Ariely has signed a deal at
Hapoel Tel Aviv that will see him play at the club for the next 2 seasons. The 190cm 23-year-old played last season at Barak Netanya and the season before that at Maccabi Haifa. Ariely started his career in the Israeli second division with Hapoel Kiryat Tiv'on where he played for 2 seasons before moving up to the top flight where he played first for Hapoel Holon and then Maccabi Rishon LeZion followed by, as mentioned above, current Israeli champions Maccabi Haifa.

At Hapoel Tel Aviv Ariely is expected to struggle to get minutes on the court as 10 days ago Hapoel also added American guard
Carlon Brown to their roster who just 11 months ago was signing on at the Golden Sate Warriors in the NBA but was waived after not being picked in the draft. The Warriors took interest in the 196cm 23-year-old after he had a comfortable NCAA career playing for 3 years at the Utah Utes followed by 2 years at the Colorado Buffaloes and it was there that he was picked as the Pacific-12 Tournament's 2012 MVP.
